Elizabeth got me this from a shop on Darby St in Newcastle.
It’s a book full of music lists - favourite bands, desert-island albums, favourite songs from decades, make-out playlist, songs you’d strip to, favourite music videos, holiday/christmas songs, best duets, and so on.
I will have too much fun with this.

Went to JB Hifi today looking for something I haven’t listened to. I should start borrowing my mum’s CDs, but I have a very low hit-miss ratio with stuff I borrow from her.
Ended up getting two CDs from 11 years ago - Cake’s Comfort Eagle and Weezer’s Green Album.
I’ve heard that only Weezer’s first 3 albums are worth listening to, and since I have the Blue Album and Pinkerton (which is just amazing), this is the missing piece. Enjoying it so far. It’s just classic Weezer.
And Cake, every time I’ve heard a song by them I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve never “gotten into” them (gone out and bought their albums). This is the first!

Confessions of a hipster, part 2:

In addition to Adele, my Truly-Honest Hottest 100 top 10 pick would have included Paradise by Coldplay.

I just love when the bass synth comes in and the synth choirs start and I’m just like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I love strumming along to it on guitar as well.

My sister’s got a few friends over, her boyfriend put on a mix CD that goes screamo, screamo, hiphop, screamo, screamo, hiphop…

I am declaring it the Mix CD From Hell. Time to start drinking away the bluez!

Don’t normally do this sort of thing but y’know, it’s late and I can’t sleep.

music on shuffle. the song title is your answer.  (Brackets are my response/commentary…)

Confessions of a hipster:

I really wish I could have put Rolling in the Deep in my Triple J Hottest 100 Top 10.

That is one shitting good song. There’s a reason Adele has broken the endless monotonous dance crap domination of the charts, and it’s because she’s fucking good.

Dear all non-Australian bands:

A show in Sydney and a show in Melbourne does not count as an Australian tour. Please kindly stop saying it is.

[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

That last attempt didn’t have the video and audio in sync. Let’s try again.

This is me trying out split-screening on iMovie 11. Basically I recorded two guitar bits, videoed at the same time, then used iMovie to put both of the video bits side by side.

Now you can see two of me!

Don’t mind the funny faces I make when I play guitar, and don’t mind the poor production and general quality of my guitar playing - I wasn’t trying very hard.

Dec 2

Wanting to see concerts of artists that none of your friends like

= sad Taylor.

Ennio freakin’ Morricone and Fefe (who I saw at Womadelaide this year) are playing in Adelaide next year. It’s about $50 to see each one and I’ll gladly pay it but finding someone else who likes either of them is the difficult part…
